Mitra (Mansouri) Davis, CNM
Mitra has been a nurse midwife for eighteen years. Attending over 5000 births, she feels blessed to have worked with so many wonderful families. Mitra continues her passion to empower women in their health decision-making, during their reproductive life span and beyond.
Mitra was born in Tehran, Iran, where she completed primary school before moving to Atlanta as a teenager. She is fluent in Farsi.
Mitra received her BSN from Georgia Southwestern State University. While working as a labor and delivery nurse, Mitra earned her Masters in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1998. She graduated with honors, as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
Mitra is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. She first joined OB/GYN of Atlanta in 2000 and she served the Northside community for more than 10 years. Mitra relocated to Massachusetts, where she continued to practice as a nurse midwife at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Ma.
In 2015, Mitra and her family returned home to Georgia, and of course returned to OB/GYN of Atlanta. Mitra and her husband reside in Marietta. She loves being a mother to her four amazing children, ages 3 to 15. Two of her children were born at Northside Hospital, delivered by OB/GYN of Atlanta.
Mitra enjoys traveling and spending free time with her family.
