Obstetrics and Gynecology of Atlanta stands with the health care community to oppose the institutional racism, discrimination, and violence that continues to plague our country. We mourn the deaths of the men and women in the African American community who have fallen at the hands of injustice and intolerance.
Underrepresented minorities experience disproportionately high mortality related to childbirth, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and most recently the COVID-19 pandemic. We, at Ob/Gyn of Atlanta, live on the front lines of the fight to overcome these health disparities.
Like others in the Obstetrics and Gynecology and women’s health community, we are committed to the conversations and actions needed to bring about meaningful and lasting change. If you are interested in providing support or would welcome a suggestion on how to help, the following groups are working towards the goal of resolving women’s health disparities.
