Genevieve L. Fairbrother, M.D. / M.P.H
Originally from England, Dr. Fairbrother traveled extensively before emigrating to Hershey, Pennsylvania, in 1977. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wellesley College in 1988. She stayed in Boston and received both her Medical Degree and her Masters in Public Health from Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Fairbrother completed her residency at Emory University School of Medicine where she was Administrative Chief Resident. She joined Obstetrics and Gynecology of Atlanta in 1996. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Fairbrother is married with two children. Her husband is a professor at Emory University where he does cancer research.
Dr. Fairbrother was Chief of Medical Staff at Northside Hospital from 2010-2013 and prior to that was Chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department from 2007-2009. She now sits on the board of Northside Hospital. She is an Executive Vice President of the Atlanta Women's Health Group and is a board member for USWHA.
As seen in Atlanta Magazine, in the "annual roster of the doctors whom other doctors trust most" Dr. Fairbrother was voted by her peers as a TOP DOCTOR in 2014, 2105, & 2016.
Dr. Fairbrother performs minimally invasive surgeries including hysterectomy, myomectomy and pelvic prolapse surgery. She performs advanced surgeries utilizing the da Vinci robot. She is accredited by AIMIS as an expert in minimally invasive surgery.
