Laboratory

We now have a confidential laboratory results access line! At your visit, you will receive a business card with your ID number, instructions and the phone number for the automated results line. Just call the number and follow the prompts to obtain your results. Don't forget to keep your ID number handy when calling. Should you misplace your card or if we fail to give you one at your appointment, simply call the office and a receptionist will be happy to provide you with this information (after verifying your identity).

All normal results and some abnormal results can be obtained using this system. If your results are abnormal and require some explanation or discussion you will receive a phone call from your medical provider or a nurse. Your results take some time to process - you may expect that they will be available in the following timeframes (may be slightly longer around the holidays).

• Pap Smears: 2-3 weeks after your appointment
• Biopsies: 10-14 business days after your appointment
• Blood work: 10-14 business days after your appointment
• Cultures: 2-3 weeks after your appointment

Mammogram results will not be on the messaging system. We will send a notification by mail of all results within 7-10 business days unless we’re awaiting prior films for comparison.

Lab Hours:
Those patients coming in for labwork only do not need to have a scheduled appointment time, but we do need to know that you will be coming. Call any office at least one day in advance of your preferred day and notify us that you’ll come in during our lab hours, which are:

Monday – Thursday:
9:00a.m. - 12:00 noon and 2:00p.m. - 4:00p.m.

Friday:
7:30a.m. - 11:00a.m. and 12:30p.m. - 2:30p.m.
