How
to Speak with a Provider or Nurse
|
| |
|
Because
it is difficult to interrupt our doctors or nurse midwives when
they are seeing patients (emergencies excepted) our staff
of nurses has been well trained to answer most of your questions.
|
|
| You may email your questions to our nurses. Please be
sure to include your full name, date of birth, and a contact number
where we can reach you to discuss your question or concern. We
will contact you within 24 hours, except on weekends or
holidays. If this is an emergency or
time-sensitive issue please call our office
directly. |

You may also contact our office by phone. We have a voice mail system upon which you may leave your non-emergent
questions and requests for medication refills. Your phone call will
be returned on the same business day provided the message was left
more than 30 minutes before closing time. If your question is beyond the scope
of the nursing staff, it will be turned over to a physician or nurse-midwife
who will contact you as soon as possible. |

Our
answering service will contact the on-call physician, registered nurse or
nurse midwife depending on your condition. If you do not hear back from the physician or nurse midwife within
20 minutes, please call again.
All
prescription refills and non-urgent questions must be handled during
regular office hours. We will not phone in any pain medications
or narcotics after hours. If you require this medication, please
go to the emergency room to see the doctor on call.
