Carson Basham, CNM
Carson was born in Columbus, GA and spent her childhood in Birmingham, AL. She returned to Columbus to be closer to family and to attend Columbus State University for her undergraduate nursing degree.
In 1999, Carson graduated and began working in Labor and Delivery. During her career as a RN, she worked in the Northside Hospital System on Labor & Delivery and in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She completed training as a First Assistant in OB/GYN surgery. She is a nationally certified registered nurse in Inpatient Obstetrics, a CPR instructor, and maintains her certification in neonatal resuscitation (NRP).
In 2010, Carson completed her graduate program at Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing with a Master’s of Science in Nursing, specializing in Nurse Midwifery, with Honors. As a CNM, she has served the Northside Cherokee community since the beginning of 2011. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.
She joined our practice in December 2011. Carson has lived in the Canton & Acworth area since 2000. When not working, Carson enjoys traveling, scuba diving, photography, movies, theater, and most of all……spending time with her four wonderful children!
